Description
City Manager, Warren Lehr, will discuss the City of Owasso’s efforts to recapture a portion of an existing sales tax scheduled to expire in December 2016. Owasso will join Collinsville, Jenks, Glenpool, City of Tulsa and Tulsa County at the polls on April 5, 2016 to let voters decide if Owasso should recapture a portion of the expiring Vision 2025 sales tax beginning January 1, 2017 and ending December 31, 2023 (a 7-year sunset period),
If approved, the collected funds will be used for street improvements and adjoining infrastructure and right-of-way expenditures specifically for:
- E 96th ST N from approximately N 119th E Ave to N 129th E Ave
- E 116th ST N from approximately US HWY 169 to Mingo Road
